While working at a high-end retail store as a Manager during college, I realized that my employee retention rate wasn’t steady, and tenure was short. So, I developed a comprehensive proposal for my employees to make a commission percentage off their personal sales that would not only maximize our store’s budget, it would also improve the morale and retention rate of the store. Corporate agreed to give it a try — and our store was one of the highest growth sales stores with a low turnover rate. As you can tell, I’m always looking for creative solutions.
