We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team and support the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations at construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for construction and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision: Assist the Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Schedule Coordination: Coordinate daily and weekly schedules with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure quality standards are met, and report any issues to the Superintendent.
Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols on-site, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any hazards or violations promptly.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, deliveries, inspections, and site conditions. Report updates to the Superintendent as needed.
Communication: Act as a liaison between the Superintendent, subcontractors, and project team members, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution.
Material Management: Verify material deliveries, manage inventory, and coordinate the timely procurement of supplies.
Inspection Preparation: Assist in preparing sites for inspections, ensuring compliance with local building codes and project specifications.
Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot site challenges, escalating complex issues to the Superintendent for resolution.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of construction experience, preferably in residential projects.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, construction documents, and specifications. Familiarity with BuilderTrend or similar project management tools is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work on construction sites, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $88,282.00 - $97,668.00 per year
