Position Overview
The Estimator plays a critical role in the construction process by analyzing project requirements and preparing detailed cost estimates. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge and project management skills to ensure that all aspects of a project are evaluated accurately to support successful bidding and execution.

The Estimator plays a critical role in the construction process by analyzing project requirements and preparing detailed cost estimates. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge and project management skills to ensure that all aspects of a project are evaluated accurately to support successful bidding and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by performing quantity takeoffs and pricing materials and labor
- Develop bid proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and scope of work
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive bidding
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost implications and project challenges
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project costing
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD for cost estimation and technical drawings
- Maintain records of estimates, bids, and project changes for future reference
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and construction processes
- Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
- Proficient in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with AutoCAD or similar software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
