Lauren, Tell Us About an Exciting Recent Placement You Made?

I have a client in the Boston area who’s a late stage start-up and really looking to beef up their staff. They wanted to hire on a few Python engineers and were working with every agency under the sun.

Python is always tough to find. I’m always telling all of the other Cybercoders recruiters that I’m always open for “splits." At CyberCoders, that means a recruiter is open to sharing their fee with another recruiter if they know of a candidate that would be a good fit for that recruiter’s company.

It so happened that a recruiter had talked with an amazing Python engineer that was going to have to relocate with his current company to Australia if he didn’t find another job here in the states. The candidate was open to any major city as long as it was a company that had the type of technology he was looking for.

My colleague asked me if I had a role for him simply because she knows I’m always open to sharing my open requests. The candidate ultimately got the job a week and a half later.

The candidate was so pumped to not have to relocate, he got the exact type of tech he was looking to work with, and got a nice raise in the process. In the end everyone got what they wanted.

It’s just amazing that before I leave for the night, I can quickly post a job, run a search in our revolutionary matching software, and then come in the next morning with a few legitimately relevant candidates that are interested in the job.

That doesn’t happen elsewhere. Normally, finding a strong candidate in this industry feels like pulling teeth. We have every resource we could possibly need to get open requests filled.

I work really hard.

Plus, I have every resource imaginable. In my mind, If I’m doing everything I know possible to get a role filled, I really don’t think there is a role I can’t fill….and that’s not because of me…that’s a testament to our company and resources that are available to me.  I used to work at a different recruiting agency and never made the impact that I do here.
