1. Tell us about an exciting job match you made recently?
I recently placed a Director of Web Analytics who had the perfect combination of technical and leadership skills. He spent the last 3 years as a Manager of Analytics in Oklahoma and was looking for the next step in his career. I had a great offer to work for my client in the Midwest, but he had a startup in San Francisco offer a higher salary + equity. He and I carefully weighed the advantages and disadvantages with each opportunity and evaluated everything from job responsibilities, technology, opportunities for growth, stability, cost of living comparisons, and quality of life for his family. It was clear that my client was providing an all-around better option for him, and the higher salary in the Bay wouldn’t compensate for the cost of living increase. His wife was leaning towards the other position, so we had her do about 20 minutes of house hunting in San Francisco and she was quickly on board with staying in the Midwest. :) Now he, his wife and baby boy live in Indianapolis where he joined an established company and can enjoy the benefits of a $25k raise in his pocket!
2. What drives you to go above and beyond?
I love finding the perfect match and exceeding people’s expectations! I have always had an internal drive to succeed, and CyberCoders gives me the tools to find the best candidates for my clients. It is so rewarding to help a client grow their company and bring someone onboard with the ability to pioneer a new product or find a candidate a position 10 minutes from home so they can stop commuting 3 hours each day and spend that time with their family.
