Recruiter Spotlight: Kristina Ensslen Builds Trusting, Long-Term Relationships

Tell us about an exciting job match you made recently?

I have gotten close with the National State and Local Tax Practice Leader of a client of mine, and I have assisted them in expanding the practice throughout the country. I believe I am an integral part of this highly specialized department’s growth due to the many placements I've made, which is exciting and gratifying in itself.

However, the most exciting recent placement that comes to mind is the one I made while at a Flyers game during Christmas break. I was in the stadium with my family when I received a call from a candidate that I had been working with for a few months – this person was going to be the leader of the department within one of the firm’s offices. I stepped outside of our box at the game to discuss and ultimately close him on the opportunity. When I walked back in, my dad had a celebratory drink waiting for me. Pretty awesome (and the Flyers won too)!

What drives you to go above and beyond?

I strive to always be better than the person I was yesterday in all facets of life. I'm highly self-motivated, competitive, passionate, and ambitious... and it certainly helps that I love what I do!!  Every day is an exciting challenge for me, and I'm constantly kept on my toes here at CyberCoders. I strive to be the best. I've always wanted to be the best. Whether it's related to school, work, piano competitions, tennis, swim team... you name it, I hustle hard.

What do you think separates CyberCoders from the average recruiting firm?

For one, my director is absolutely incredible. The level of guidance and advice he has provided me since the time I started here have been second to none. Also, there is no limit to the markets and industries that one can get involved with. I have clients all over the nation! The culture is fantastic, and while it’s competitive, everyone wants to see you succeed. Top billers are recognized and rewarded for their efforts, which is extremely incentivizing and motivating. I also like the fact that I am on a leadership track, which means that not only will I be able to continue to grow and expand my own desk, but I will also be able to take on management responsibilities within CyberCoders. Actually, two months ago I received my first promotion at the company! Lastly, the technology system and job marketing that CyberCoders has are tremendous.

What is your favorite part about being a recruiter?

The thrill of each deal and the relationships I've been able to build and sustain with my clients and candidates. It's awesome to see how appreciative both sides can be, and it makes me feel great about what I do every day.

What are your favorite hobbies or activities outside of the office?

Traveling, Running, Hiking, Pilates, Tennis, Music, Going on Adventures, Attending Sporting Events, and Spending Time with Family and Friends.
