We are seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our team! The attorney will be responsible for handling, under the mentorship of experienced attorneys, a diverse caseload of injury cases in a dynamic and supportive culture.
What you'll be doing:
Personally handle under the supervision of a senior attorney a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases
Extensive client interaction including intake and subsequent communications
Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients
Advocate and litigate on behalf of injured clients at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial
Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation
Attend and participate in weekly team meetings relating to the evaluation and advancement of injury and malpractice cases
Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases
Active involvement in all phases of client representation from initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and litigation
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor
Fully licensed to practice law in Rhode Island. Licensing in Massachusetts, and/or Connecticut is a plus
2+ years of personal injury law experience
Strong time management skills
Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment focusing on teamwork
