REMOTE - Software Architect

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and architecture, with expertise in modern web technologies and cloud platforms. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable software solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable software solutions using JavaScript, Node, and Vue (React acceptable).
Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices and coding standards.
Oversee the migration of applications to cloud services like GCP and AWS.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to connect front-end and back-end systems.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Ensure code quality through automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Create technical documentation for software architecture and design decisions.
This role would require approximately 3 trips to Dallas, TX per year.

Qualifications

5+ years of customer-facing, B2C e-commerce experience
Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role in software development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Vue, Node, and PHP.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with LAMP stack and Microservices architecture.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and best practices in API design.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Strong understanding of database technologies including MySQL and NoSQL.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
