Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, specifically in heavy-civil and heavy-highway projects, with extensive knowledge of earthwork, excavation, and road construction. As a Superintendent, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and implement project plans
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedule and budget
- Conduct regular quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction- Prepare and submit progress reports to upper management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy-civil and heavy-highway construction
- Extensive knowledge of earthwork, excavation, and road construction techniques
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with construction software and tools
- OSHA certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
