Automation Sales Engineer
Position Overview
The Automation Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of automation solutions in industrial settings. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing technical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity through automation technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop territory and customer base within the wider Jacksonville, North Florida, and Southeast Georgia markets.
- Become technically proficient with our various product lines.
- Identify and pursue new business and applications throughout a wide variety of industries.
- Create strong relationships with customers and work with them on a wide range of applications to help them improve reliability, performance, and production capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in industrial automation
- Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Bonus experience but not required:
- Experience with SMC, Mitsubishi, 80/20, Universal Robots, Epson Robotics, WAGO, PILZ, Oriental Motor, IAI, Datalogic, or any competitive or similar product line.
- Experience with pneumatics, VFDs, HMIs, PLCs, robots, DC/AC motors, electric actuators, machine vision, sensors and safety products, and any other manufacturing components used in system configuration and design.
Benefits
- Base Salary Range - $80,000 - $100,000 DOE
- Quarterly bonuses based on sales activity and goal achievement (est. $8 - 12k, annual)
- Health insurance with 75% of premium paid by employer
- 401K with up to 4% match
