Position Overview: The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems for plant operations. The technician will use a variety of specialty tools and equipment to diagnose, repair, and modify electrical control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems including PLCs, Allen Bradley, and other automation systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and corrective maintenance on electrical control systems.
- Perform electrical tag-out and safety procedures.
- Follow electrical and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
- Utilize CMMS to document maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain and repair roasters, oil systems, nuts, and other related equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and electrical control systems.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley control systems.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of food equipment such as roasters and oil systems.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
