Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for streamlining our development and operational processes, enhancing our Continuous Deployment strategies, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing and automation tools to facilitate seamless integration and delivery of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Continuous Deployment pipelines for swift software releases.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency across development and production environments.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications.
- Develop scripts for automation tasks using Bash and other scripting languages.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Employ configuration management tools such as Puppet and Jenkins for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using CloudFormation and other tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that DevOps practices are integrated into the Agile workflow.
- Maintain version control and continuous integration processes using GIT, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar positions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques for system performance evaluation.
- Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet and automation frameworks like Rundeck.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools including Jenkins and Nexus.
- TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools like JIRA and Confluence.
