Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal team in various administrative and legal tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and mortgage foreclosure litigation, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings and motions
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation
- File court documents and ensure compliance with court procedures
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court staff as necessary
- Assist in the preparation of discovery materials and responses
- Support collection efforts and manage related documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in civil litigation or mortgage foreclosure litigation
- Proficient in court filings and legal documentation
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with legal research tools and resources
