Position Overview
The Process Engineer - Backend will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes for backend wafer processing. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality output and efficiency in wafer processing techniques, while also supporting product development and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize backend wafer processing techniques including scribe and break methods.
- Conduct wafer mounting, cleaning, die pick, expansion and thickness verification processes to ensure product quality.
- Implement automated optical inspection processes to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues.
- Maintain clean room standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations during wafer processing operations.
- Support the development and qualification of new equipment and processes for GAAS and InP materials & substrates.
- Perform wafer mounting, cleaning and die pick operations as part of the backend processing flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in semiconductor backend processing or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience with things like process development, control including scribe, break, expansion, wafer cleaning / processing, mounting, thickness verification, die pick, etc.
- Knowledge of clean room protocols and experience working in a controlled environment.
- Familiarity with automated optical inspection systems and related technologies.
- Eyelit, MS office experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
