Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, particularly those involving asphalt paving, roadways, bridges, and heavy highway construction. This individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, specifically in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil projects. Knowledge of P6 and HCSS software is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of project execution, including subcontractor management, equipment procurement, and material sourcing
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures
  • Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to provide progress updates and address any issues or concerns
  • Manage project risks and implement contingency plans as needed
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals and objectives
  • Prepare and present project reports to upper management and stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure all project records are accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in heavy civil construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Experience with P6 and HCSS software is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of safety and quality control standards in the construction industry
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals
