We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and reporting for a diverse range of clients, ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations while providing strategic tax planning and advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses including S-Corps, C-Corps, and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on tax planning strategies and compliance issues.
- Conduct thorough reviews of tax workpapers and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and resolve any tax-related issues that arise during audits.
- Assist in developing and implementing tax compliance policies and procedures that align with best practices.
- Mentor and train junior staff in tax preparation and compliance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required; EA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, particularly in relation to partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
